A teacher is likening to a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom in the pupils but unfortunately many of them are neglected either by the government or the society.
In celebrating teachers, Nigeria leading brewing outfit, Nigeria Breweries Plc is staging a first of its kind initiative to honour great teachers who spent time helping others learn about themselves and the world. The initiate which has been on for months has been extended for others to participate.
Speaking at press briefing held few days ago, the CSR/Sustainability Manager of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Emete Tonukari disclosed why the organization has given a new deadline for teachers across the country to submit their entries for the Maltina Teacher-of-the-Year Awards. According to her, the deadline for submission of entries is now Friday, July 24th, 2015; a three-week extension from its earlier June 30th deadline.
