One of Nigeria’s telecommunication giants, MTN has been in the news lately on many issues bothering on poor network services amongst others, and these have caused many of its subscribers to opt for alternative networks.
What is new about the telecoms giant, according to a reliable source, is the fact that another set of staffers has been relieved of their jobs, while some workers have been handed over to the management of a consultant and turned to contract staff, making them to lose benefits meant for full staff.
Those who should know divulged that all the company’s friendship centers would be given to other companies or individual to manage since it has become very hard for the telecomms giant to manage its daily activities.
The prevailing economic hardship in the country is said to have affected the network provider, which has caused to charge for roaming in the east, west, and central Africa.
The service was absolutely free few months back, but they started charging for the services without prior notice. The customers were surprised to discover high deduction from their accounts.
